Getting to SLO CAL

Centrally located on the Central Coast of California, just getting to SLO CAL (San Luis Obispo County) is part of the adventure. Whatever your choice of transportation is, getting here is simple whether you’re coming from in-state, out-of-state or out of the country with centrally located airports, train stations and major highways that intersect the region. 

Flight Information

The San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport offers direct service from Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Phoenix, Portland (seasonal), Las Vegas (seasonal), Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle! In addition, you can transfer to hundreds of connecting destinations in the U.S. and abroad. Driving Information

San Luis Obispo County is located mid-way between Los Angeles and San Francisco. It's accessible via U.S. Highway 101, which runs north and south through the heart of the county, from Highway 1, which runs north to south along the coast and from Interstate Highway 5 via State Highways 41, 46 or 166 connecting to Highway 101.

Train & Bus Information

By train & bus - Amtrak’s Coast Starlight and Pacific Surfliner trains make daily stops at the City of San Luis Obispo Amtrak station, located near downtown. From there, board an SLO RTA bus or arrange for a Ride-On Transportation shuttle. Amtrak also has services that stop at the Grover Beach and Paso Robles stations.
